The way I rate things is as follows.

0.5 - 1 = Worst of all time

1.5 - 2 = bad, not good, probably not worth more than one listen

2.5 - 3 = Average/alright/OK, will usually give it at least 1 relisten

3.5 - 4 = Good/great/excellent, music I definitely enjoy

4.5 - 5 = The best of all time, my personal favorites

Also, I am currently in the process of compiling lists for my top albums of every year since the 1950's, my top albums for every decade, top albums for every century, and lastly all time. I'm still unsure of what the earliest year is that I want to start with, but it will be some year in the 50's, and then every year after that point will have a list. I'm currently working on my lists for every year from our current decade, as well as a best albums of the 2010's list, which will be an ongoing work being updated in real time as the decade moves along. After this decade I'm doing every year of the 2000's, a best albums of the 2000's list, and then a best of the 21st century. Once that's done I'll head back to the 50's, do a list for every year from 195x - 1999, best of the decade for the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, a best of the 20th century, and then a best of all time. Should be a romp.
