indeed, i find some records to be enjoyable (endgame, united, even the system) but that's pretty much it. the new one has some cool riffing here and there, but the production is so plastic it makes me sick
that - plus the total lacking of any new ideas - is what got me off the thrash metal genre recently. most albums either are new bands who dream they lived in the 80s bay area or old bands with over saturated guitar sounds (in most of the cases, their albums are damn long too)
death metal has been more exciting to follow....

perhaps you should try hail to the thief - it's quite similar to the new one, but has more rockish tunes. in rainbows is close too (and my personal favorite)
Well, i already disliked their previous one - which, for me, was a bland version of the good The Electric Age - and i'm growing pretty tired of regular thrash too; I mean, i liked Vektor's last effort, but stuff like The Grinding Wheel just bores me. I could predict almost every step off the compositions, and no guitar riff excited me, so...
btw, if you enjoyed Young Americans that much, my guess is that you probably like Ziggy Stardust a lot....
