I'm pretty open minded and will always give things a chance but I mainly listen to bands in the rock/metal spectrum, with some electronic and classical artists.

Currently focusing on 2011 releases, but will review other albums as I listen to them.

Expect to see high ratings for the time being, but will get around to bad albums later to keep things balanced.

I try to rate albums based on what the artist tried to achieve. If the band switched genres, I try and remove bias and judge them in their new genre.

You seem to a very fair reviewer which is a rare thing these days, so I added you. Looking forward to more reviews.

Re: Trackmania 2020 review. You might think that the tracks are designed to annoy people, but it’s always important to remember that the competitive games are more often than not shaped by their best players. Being a very old franchise, Trackmania wasn’t always like this in level design, and although there were some annoyances in the Nadeo track designs of the time, there were many simpler tracks that were intended to ease the newer players in, but got torn to shreds by the community as time went on and previously unseen techniques were discovered. It’s nothing more than the result of a rising skill ceiling, and the learning curve the game has now is a natural extension of that. Pro players don’t have that much of a hard time navigating all the tracks, unless it’s some deliberately made niche stuff like Kacky tracks which are designed to force players into exploiting every single trick in the book.

Thanks for the comment. It's quite nice to know someone has read my review!

I wouldn't rule out trying an older (if it is fine for single-player) or future Trackmania game, but I suppose I probably prefer straight-forward racing games and single-player games.
