going off a pretty sweeping generalization here, but philosophy departments at higher ranked unis are usually geared towards philosophy of science and analytic metaphysics. which is fine if you're into that, but considering you mentioned sartre as a point of interest, i'm guessing it's not your forte either. i think it's the transparency of trump's fascism that has shocked so many people, not that the US hasn't been fascist for quite a while now, but that the comparisons with 20th century forms of fascism have struck a chord with people. i've actually become sympathetic towards some right wing groups insofar as they can at least point towards terminal velocity capitalism and say 'we don't want that'. the alt right can go and get fucked though. the only really stupid people left are the exponents of neoliberal policy

Eyy. I stopped playing on Nost about a month ago. Got a Holy Paladin to 60 and cleared the first raid with some guild full of Kiwis. I quit soon after because the server admins became embroiled in some drama regarding gold/account selling. The old Nostalrius team ended up withdrawing from the project, with it reverting to its original name and game core prior to the Nost merge. I hear retail WoW is quite good now. Honestly, I would never have quit had the legendary item system not been so shit, though I hear they fixed this now. Will probs give it another go when the new patch comes out in 2-3 weeks. What did you get up to over the past few months? Did you end up finishing for the year at uni?
Pfft, as if GPA even matters for first-years, let alone for arts students. Unless you're doing graduate studies then a high GPA won't help in any capacity. I find attending is only really important as a way to keep up to date with due work, otherwise there's nothing wrong with often missing classes. I used to get pissed off at having to spend 2 hour classes doing group exercises with people that hadn't done the weekly readings. What even is your assessment in visual arts, is it just a portfolio or are there quite a few essays on theory as well? I think one of the last times we spoke on Bnet was when I realized I was gay, so no I haven't fucked a black girl. Almost nobody in Australia is of African ancestry. Why's it weird though? Also, have you ever been down the K-hole? I'm probs going to buy Ket sometime soon. I got into speed a lil earlier in the year, which I'm quite fond of. Also tried meth, not so fond of that, ended up trashing it after taking it twice. Still yet to have another proper acid trip. I did buy a bunch of really good quality stuff. If you need something to do, use that college library card m8, check out vol 1+2 of Capitalism and Schizophrenia. I sorta went off watching movies for a while, but did see some good ones at a festival last year. You might have to do some pretty deep searching for copies. Try these: 'The Sky Trembles and the Earth Is Afraid and the Two Eyes Are Not Brothers', 'Where Are You Going', 'Kaili Blues'. How much do you need to improve your GPA to get free tuition? If you can stick around for another year, there might be some special consideration you can apply for. Some unis actually 'weigh' first year units less than second and third year ones in calculating your average grade. Doing well in second year might bring you up by a significant margin. You really are expected to fuck up in first year though, don't stress too much about it. Make use of any student amenities you get as well, if only because it's something internally verifiable you can mention if you need to get special consideration. Good luck with the rest of your year though, student debt is pretty fucking dire in the US, hopefully that's not something you have to deal with for long. I haven't done speed since before I did meth, but yeah, I got a lot of shit done. Would sleep for like 14 hours the following day, though. You should see if you can get your paws on Modafinil. It's like addy, but without the 'rush' and subsequent crash. The only downside is that it makes your piss reek of sulphur all day. Wtff where are you constantly finding all this weird acid. I've never gotten anything but blotter paper. Anyway, at least this sounds like the real deal. 300ug is hectic, anything above 250 and I usually can't deal with any music that isn't noise
