Turn-based strategy

Strategy games where the time-keeping mechanism is a turn. The game types range from turn-based tactics games focused on individual battles to games featuring long-term strategic campaigns such as Civilization and Heroes of Might and Magic. Turn-based strategies also include video game adaptations of abstract board games such as chess or checkers.
