Games that limit players to a static screen with targets or enemies that must be aimed and shot at by moving an on-screen reticle or by using a light gun. Shooting gallery games lack the movement generally present in other shooter genres, keeping players locked at a fixed point. Though the games in this genre commonly utilize first-person perspective, third-person perspective is also possible.
