Puzzle platformer

Puzzle platformers incorporate the structure of platformer games with logic puzzles. These puzzles often act as gateways requiring a solution in order to pass (as demonstrated in Portal). Puzzles can also be incorporated complimentary to the platforming gameplay as a means for the player to efficiently score points based on the player's traversal path and/or interactions (a common feature in arcade puzzle platformers such as Q*bert).
