Fixed shooter

Shoot 'em ups in which the player is placed inside a single static screen. In most games the player is fixed to a limited range of movement, normally along one edge of the screen, and they must eliminate enemies stationed at or coming from the opposite end. Some games allow limited free movement, such as Centipede, or even complete free movement like in Yars' Revenge.
