You know that "Sega feel"? When you have an action game with an emphasis on speed and immediate gameplay, set in an urban setting with entrancing, contemporary music? Zippy Race might be the origin of it, which is funny since it actually wasn't developed by Sega. In any case, I think after this port, that a switch of inspiration just clicked inside of Sega.
You make a cross-country race from L.A. to New York City, but along the way you need to dodge cars and collect fuel for your motorbike. The game ends when you run out of fuel, which is very easy to do as getting those fuel cans is incredibly tough. You can nudge the sides of the cars a little bit, which greatly helps.
The only graphically unique stages are the first two, out of five. After that they just repeat themselves.
