Z1 Battle Royale

Probably "worse" than PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Apex Legends, and Fortnite: Battle Royale, but I've ended up playing this more because of a friend of mine. Of course, this same friend would always carry me hard, and I can't say I ever "learned the game" much at all. But I also feel I'm better off just playing The Last of Us multiplayer, or even Mercenaries in Resident Evil 5 [バイオハザード5] or Raid in Resident Evil: Revelations [バイオハザード リベレーションズ] (as I vastly prefer single-player games).

when this came out everyone was playing it, everyone loved it. the idea of a battle royale was totally new. the exhilarating feeling of getting a kill, the alure of beating 150+ other people and winning. these feelings were unmatched. this was h1z1. you had to be there to understand the hype. buuuut thenn PUBG came out with more guns and better graphics, but I didn't like it as much. h1z1 was arcade-y and very simple to learn because there were only a few guns and the map was relatively balanced, but it had a high skill ceiling. PUBG felt much more lucky and confusing. in my eyes, h1z1 was like the CSGO and PUBG was the COD. i wish it was able to hold on to its playerbase.

there may be better royales, but nothing will compare to the first months of playing this game. everyone was new to it, all on equal playing field. now you have people who have been playing battle royales for years, it's practically impossible for a trash player like me to win or even get many kills. fortnite players build towers in seconds. most importantly, battle royales just aren't as fun after playing them for a bit. this was the first one therefore its the best period
