Yie Ar Kung-Fu

Oh, such a shame this fighter prototype does not have a 2P versus option. Not unless you play the GBA version from Konami Arcade Classics, which is amazing(and yes, you can play as all the characters!). Otherwise, as remarkable as Yie Ar is in supplying the bravado of martial arts goons that would fill every fighting game since, it was still an awkward step away with uncontrollable character jumps and clumsy hit detection.

The NES port is even worse, with incomprehensible hit detection and difficulty. 1.0.

Its a single player fighting game, comprised of 10 stages that repeat after that. You get access to a variety of kicks and punchs in order to defeat your foes, as well as the ability to jump. The actual foes have a nice variety, ranged from obese kung fu masters to chain wielding warriors. The premise is decent, but unfortunatly the game is cursed by some of the worst hit detection i have seen, which literally ruins the game for me. The game in unfair in the sense that you only register a hit if the enemy is at a certain range from you (to close and it wont register, even if the kick touches him), but this doesnt apply to enemy attacks. Makes the game really frustrating to play
