Has a cool visual style but there's something very fabricated and inauthentic about this game for me, I don't really know how else to put it. The ARG elements are cool, but there isn't really anything else that strikes me as memorable. Also I can't believe someone made an almost 8 hour long video about this game on YouTube... Just go watch a Lynch movie.
Could've been a pretty interesting horror mystery game, but it instead focused on abusing every insufferable internet horror cliche imaginable, a shame. Endless Lynch "homages" don't improve anything either
I would've liked this game a lot more if getting all of the endings wasn't as much of a chore. Sometimes you'll get a different outcome based only on the facial expressions for certain dialogue options... no fucking way. There's just too many alternatives to try, so I gave up after 12 different endings. Other than that, it's a pretty engaging experience. But yeah, there's nothing new under the sun if you've watched any David Lynch films, from which this game borrows basically all of its narrative/audiovisual vocabulary. Frankly, the best parts of this game were the ARG-like elements. It's probably the first time I've seen these implemented so well in a video game.
I feel the opposite to some people here. Loved the game, atmosphere, script and felt the horror was engaging and well implemented. I'm not used to most of the so called "internet horror" so maybe that's why it felt fresh to me. Love Lynch as well. BUT I strongly dislike the ARG stuff. I don't even have a twitter account, ffs. It also gives games an indetermined and unnecessary expiration date.
