Does a good job feeling distinct from its contemporary horizontal shooters, while also not just feeling like a 194x game turned on its side. Has a decent number of stages, but they're all kept short, which keeps the tempo up. Impressively, they all have distinct backgrounds too, which makes it exciting to see each new stage and keeps the game from feeling like it's becoming repetitive. I'd probably have checked it out sooner if it hadn't been a licensed game, but at this point I guess I should have figured out that Capcom's old licensed games were the shit.
