I find this game incredibly charming, and the first level or two are legitimately a lot of fun. Combat is very similar to what Zelda II would end up doing, though it's not as intuitive or satisfying as in that game, since there's less pushback from attack, no momentum to speak of, and your shield is mapped to a button rather than just being an automatic defence based on whether you're crouching or not. The game also devolves really quickly into just throwing hundreds of the same enemy at you over and over, which gets exhausting very quickly, and the entire latter half of the game is just a repeat of the same enemies, bosses and level concepts you played through in the first three stages, just against a different backdrop. Not tight enough to warrant a 1CC or anything, but certainly worth a look. Sword+sorcery in a Mad Max/Hokuto no Ken setting is a really fun idea that I wish Capcom had revisited.
