Just beat Splinter Cell Blacklist and its a very solid game. Its a huge stepup from Conviction, and it seems that the series is once again on the right path, though this is not as great as Chaos theory.
What i like the most about it is how it gives the played freedom to approach most missions in the way they please, while at the same time rewarding them for doing it the "right way". Level design is also good enough to allow multiple routes. The worst levels of the game are really when you are forced down a very linear gameplay style.
The story might as well not be there, i think i skipped almost everysingle cutscene because they bored me so much.
The game also feels a bit too short, but at least its good all the way through. It feels like a good compromise between accessibility for the more modern gamer as well as pure stealth for purists.

Temporary return to from, but looks like Ubisoft is no longer interested in Splinter Cell. Definitely better than both Conviction and Double Agent, but the series peaked with Chaos Theory for sure. The fact that the focus from stealth was not taken away like in Conviction makes it a more enjoyable experience for me.
