Future Perfect makes the all too obvious sequel bungle of misunderstanding the understated brilliance of the game's tone and buying too much into it, with an over-the-top announcer just being annoying and some deliberate attempts to infuse voiceovers into every character falling short. The campaign still features a few choice quotes, though, and the gameplay remains as strong even with the extra cinematic polish.

Linking When you mention an album, artist, film, game, label, etc - it's recommended to link to the item the first time you mention it. Doing so will make it easier to search for your post and give it more visibility. To link an item, use the search box above, or find the shortcut that appears on the page that you want to link. You can customize the link name of shortcuts by using the format [Artist12345,Custom Name].

almost never grasps the heights of the 2nd entry, actually very disappointing in terms of challenge. last level took less than a minute in coop lmao, whereas in the 2nd one you have took down several battleships, fight endless swarms of enemies, find a spacesuit to avoid asphyxiation, and obtain the time crystal - most of it under a time limit as your ship blows up eventually. still hella fun & miles above most shooters for playstation2
Nice to see this game with a great rating here. I feel it was unfairly considered back then compared to Timesplitters 2. Solo/story was arguably weaker but still quite fun especially in coop mode, and the multiplayer was just as fantastic, if not even better. So many amazing memories on this (Gamecube version personally), it sucks this franchise disappeared...
Campaign never fails to make me laugh, not as much as a challenge as 2's Campaign was but none the less so memorable and charming and the sheer variety here is astounding still hasn't been matched.
