The Unfinished Swan

A very brief and minimal indie game where you are asked to "paint" your way through the map and solve a few environmental puzzles. I wish the gameplay was more challenging, but I enjoyed the unique storytelling. The plot is nothing complex but I have to confess that its final considerations brought me close to tears (I guess I am getting old).

This succeeds at being a cute lil romp with some fun mechanics and some easy to digest gameplay. It's also very cool to play after knowing what happens in Editch Finch, because there are some cute little connections! It's nothing special, but it's nice!

This is another indie game my friends ended up buying for us to play. You basically just throw paint balls and navigate basic obstacles. Each level has a unique concept like in one level you'll grow vines and climb them and another you'll follow a glowing ball to keep out of the dark or you'll die. I do like that the game does this to avoid getting tedious, but the game itself is already pretty short and can be beaten in something like 2 or 3 hours. The problem is the game sort of plays itself and is way to easy, and its almost like one of those games made to show off its unique visual style. The story is typical indie minimal stuff, its nothing really that good and the gameplay is sort of just there. The game is way too short and by the end I really didn't see the appeal. Its sort of just one of those games to play to admire the graphic style and art, but as a game it doesn't work well.
