A perfect little puzzle game for a lazy weekend afternoon, The Turing Test can be finished in a handful of hours but presents a fully realised set of 3D puzzle mechanics and a fine, if basic and classical, sci-fi story about how AI would view morality versus us humans. TOM's voice acting is exemplary, cold and calculating, acting without malice against the much more irrational, and overacted, humans. The slow burn of the story gives you plenty to chew on philosophically as you logically solve the puzzles before you, which are fine enough but do feel a bit lacking by the end, with some rooms being some design assets away from just a couple of switch flips. Certainly, the difficulty curve of the adventure makes no sense, with some puzzles in the final two chapters taking a minute each. Still, a memorable morsel, even if it yet again proves how hard an act Portal is to follow.
