Aim for the head
They took the concept of the first Last Stand game, and added a sort of campaign progression through the game.

The objective is surviving as long as it takes to reach the helicopter and survive, but you only get a limited amount of days to get there. You have to plan your journey ahead, and there are multiple pathways you can take to get there. You search the towns for survivors, food and the odd weapon. At night the gameplay is the same as the first Last Stand game, which is a zombie shooter in which you lie static behind your fortress and must stop the increasing numbers of zombies.

The campaign like elements make the game much more about planing things in the long run, which i enjoy. Unfortunatly, the actual shooting is still very clunky and unreliable, which really compromises the enjoyability out of this title. Its an improvement on the first game, but still only fares as a mediocre game.
