The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

It's bad.

Everything from the bad unlocks (unlock a half soul heart for resetting 7 times in a row) to the dumb achievements ("Marathon" requires you to play the daily challenge for 30 days straight) and the new final bosses are bad.

The new items are pretty cool, but there's just not enough of them to justify the price tag on this. My personal favorite is Jacob's Ladder which adds lightning strikes to your tears. There are other quality of life improving items like Equality which will spawn both an angel and a devil room when completing a floor.

The Void is a lazily made piece of content. All it does is take rooms from prior floors and connects them into one giant floor. I like the gimmick of having multiple fake boss rooms, it feels like the only thing that was well thought out on the entire floor. The new boss on the floor "Delirium" is terribly made. It transforms into most of the bosses into the game while shooting bullet hell tears. It sounds pretty sweet in concept but in play it doesn't work in the slightest. You constantly get telefragged, bosses move way too fast to be handlable and he has an insane amount of super armor*.

Greedier mode is a lot of fun. It's hard but it's fair (to an extent). It provides the challenge that the regular greed mode didn't provide for most players. It challenges you and makes sure you're a skilled player before you can fight Ultra Greed and his new phase. Speaking of Ultra Greed's new phase, it's horrendous. He now shoots lasers out of the wall, spawns an unhandlable amount of bomb coins and almost everything explodes. It puts you in situations of unavoidable damage and it's really not fun to fight. You'll die to him a lot and it's just something you'll have to get used to.

They've been patching the game on a regular basis and been fixing the problems that the games contain, but it shouldn't have launched with these problems at all.

*Yes, there's still super armor on bosses and yes, it's still super dumb.

almost everything added in this expansion was a mistake.
most of the new unlocks are either pointless (the half soul heart for resetting 7 times), tedious (play 30 daily challenges) or just straight up bad (a coin for defeating Hush with Keeper).
talking about keeper: it's laughably bad. it has an afwul tear rate and an even more awful way of obtaining health until the Wooden Nickel is unlocked, effectively turning the character into a dollar store version of The Lost.
Delirium and the Void floor are two good ideas, but the boss is completely broken and impossible to beat with The Lost unless you have the Book Of Shadows (and even with it, it's still a brutal challenge).
The Forgotten is a cool character with a good mechanic, but the way of unlocking it is beyond insufferable.
overall, most of the newly added items have a terrible quality, with special focus on the D-Infinity, Shade, Dataminer, Brown Nugget and Plan C.
Greedier mode is a new gamemode that brings a harder aspect to the average Greed run, and it's overall okay, but the new Ultra Greedier feels liek a cheap reskin of the original Ultra Greed with some brimstone lasers here and there.

it's really bad, it feels as if Nicalis had forced Edmund into making a new expansion for quick money. most of Repentance's issues are spawned from here. this is just a rushed disaster that shouldn't have seen the light of the day.

Ultra Greedier is a bullshit boss
Delirium is a bullshit boss
The void portals are bullshit enemies
The inflation of the item pool with even more useless items is bullshit.
Stat upgrades rarely drop anymore, its not fun.

Dying is frustrating, winning doesn't feel rewarding. This DLC is a disappointment in every way possible.
