Tetris Plus

Tetris was remade so many times that I'm sure it rivals Pac-Man for the most releases and versions to exist, this is basically a PS1 adaptation where the story mode consists of trying to get a random adventurer to the bottom floor of pre arranged blocks and using the tetris blocks to save him, while a timed spike ceiling comes down. Its kind of fun and a cool idea that spices the game up from the vanilla experience, but that's the thing, Tetris isn't a game meant to be played in long sittings, its a game to play a round or two of when theres nothing else to do, its a game to see how well you can do in a single round before you screw up. Tetris is a game that can go on infinitely if you are good. This game tries to turn Tetris into a story experience with different challenges that are in the same nature classic Tetris, but at the same time are more or less pre-arranged blocks. This isn't a bad game by no means, and it definitely has an audience, my mom loved playing this when I was a kid and that's why we had the game, but I'll just take standard Tetris over this one any day, even if this does bring back a little nostalgia.
