iconic, timeless, and one of the most inventive team shooters ever made; as much as i haven't returned to it for a while, its creative art style & immediately recognizable cast are still spectacular

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said? It's one of the most unique and infinitely fun shooters on the market. There hasn't been a shooter that has such a condensed cast of lovable characters, all of which serve to elevate the gameplay through their iconic voice lines. There's nearly infinite replay value with it's unique weapons, playstyles, maps, and a community that never stops making content. Definitely worth the 9 years in development it had!

i think it's far more interesting to talk about the game rather than play it. but still, there's nothing like it today i don't think

Ok, so this game is awesome AF, I shouldn’t have to explain more but ok. This game is a class-based( Hero Shooter) with 9 distinct classes each having their own roles. All of these classes have their strengths and weaknesses for example the demo man. Demo is an explosive class that has one of if not the highest damage potential, he can launch himself with sticky-jumping and has a melee sub-class. He may seem way to powerful but he can only use the explosive projectiles so he is easily bum rushed and killed. This leads to a class counter where the scout class can easily deal with a demo using the scouts speed. This is an unforced natural counter that is fair and balanced. This game also has an amazing weapon system using a load out system allowing you to equip different weapons with their own situational benefits.

There are some problems with this game tough; the bots and random things like kritz. Tf2 has had a major bot crisis where people run scripts that join random severs instantly kill people with sniper and spam slurs. These are terrible and have forced players to play on private severs with better anti cheats that are not V.A.C or ( It .doesn’t .Work). Thee second problem are random Kritz that just instantly deal 3x the damage because fuck skill. This and random bullet spread makes the game frustrating to play at times

Overall this and amazing game that deserves a ton of praise but a neglectful company bogs down the game. Overall this game should be a 4/5 but Valve is not doing anything to help this game be better.

This game shouldn't exist but it does.

I love this game more than I love myself, I’ve played it for 7 years and have almost 1500 hours. I first got into it because my crappy dell laptop couldn’t run much else but it hooked me and I’ve had years of fun memories playing it alone and with friends. That being said in its current state it’s not very fun to play. Bots run rampant leaving the only viable option to be community servers most of which are garbage and the few good ones have terribly long queues to join. There is hardly any new content and what is added is usually disappointing.

It kind of puts me in a tough spot rating it because my experience with it has been overwhelmingly positive and despite its current issues, the core game is still amazing. The characters and artstyle are great, the core mechanics are solid, and the gameplay is fast paced and skill based. Based on all that I’d give it a five but I wouldn’t blame people for rating it significantly lower based on the current state of the game.
