Title
Despite the fact that its sound and visuals are reminciscent of an 80s arcade machine, it's a really good thing each try at Super Hexagon doesn't cost a nickel. This game is brutal, and every level besides the first two have always felt just impossible to me. Strangely, the fact that I'm pretty bad at it never really seemed to bother me though. The audio, graphical and gameplay elements of this game come together in such a way that is truly hypnotizing. Maybe the best way to describe this intoxicating effect is to say that Super Hexagon comes together as more than the sum of its parts. I never manage to get that far, but it's an experience that I can't resist coming back to every now and then. The low price point makes this an especially worthy purchase in my eyes.
