In the aftermath of a war against the alien Ur-Quan, humanity is left subjugated and Earth is encased in an impenetrable force field. A human starship commander, believed to be the last free human, emerges from a distant exploration mission. This commander must recruit allies from different alien species, gather resources, and wage a fight to liberate Earth and the galaxy from the Ur-Quan's dominance, uncovering ancient cosmic secrets along the way.

Title
This is the definitive way to play the classic masterpiece that is star control 2 in the modern age and it's FREE. This game will always be one of my all-time favorites a grand space story with rich characters and world-building. I recommend the fan HD remake as it is faithful to the original intent and makes the game pleasant to modern sensibilities in graphics, but the original graphics are timeless and give a wonderful retro feel. I couldn't recommend this game more.
