SSX brings boardercross to the PlayStation 2 launch line-up, with a unique cast of characters and levels, all overseen by the sport's inventor, Steve Rechtschaffner.
Fair for its time, and honestly it's not so dated as to be unplayable. It still looks and runs just fine, but mechanically the original SSX is too shallow. The uber tricks of Tricky would tie everything together. Here, there's not much you can do once you have a max boost bar, so actual play psychology is thin on the ground. Still, not bad at all for a launch title.
