    The jump from Soul Edge/Blade to SC is such a staggering graphical leap. Pretty well the gold standard of home console releases in '99

      The arcade version of Soulcalibur is visually the same as Soul Edge, but Namco were programming gods in the late 90s and were somehow able to make what was basically a brand new game for the Dreamcast in a couple of months

    Yeah the Dreamcast version has a graphic overhaul. Namco System 12 wasn't such as powerful and it's much more pixelated.
    Subsequent rereleases are ports from the Dreamcast version

    One of the very few games where the home port outshine the arcade verision tenfold. There is no reason to ever play the arcade version over the DC version, ever.
