i really hope the sequel expands on this by tenfold because this is such a lovely game with so much potential for more, but as it is, it could do with some quality of life features and more content
The menus/QOL are the one real issue with this game. It can get frustrating vaccing up things you didn't mean to in the heat of the moment, then having to select the hotkey that will let you shoot that unwelcome item out in hopes the physics-based item you meant to grab is still intact and not eaten/fallen off a cliff/stuck between 8 slimes.
I shouldn't have to vacc up each individual plort from a corral deposit, why can't I just have a "vac all" option? Why do I need to run back and forth from storage/deposit to the market and shoot each individual plort in? Why can't I have multiple vac slots used for a given plort/slime/resource? And whyyy did they have to make the Slime Science lab a good like 15-20 second jog from the house? It all builds up into this feeling that the experience could easily be much tighter than it is, and that you would save a whole lot of IRL time by having these tedious things reworked.
I went into this game with the specific purpose to enjoy a cute game, but the slimes turned into abstract game resources in my mind really quick, which was disappointing
