The Japanese village of Hanuda teeters between two worlds - the world of the living and a nightmarish world where the buildings have been ruined, the land has been distorted, and the mountains have been replaced by an unending sea of red. An ancient ceremony in the forest has been interrupted. As a result, the boundaries between the worlds are collapsing and the villagers of Hanuda have found themselves uncontrollably drawn by the sound of a Siren into the blood red waters. The survivors of the disaster must struggle to escape the village and to do that they must work together and resist the call of the siren.
Really excited to play this at some point. Style-over-substance PS2 survival horror is definitely one of my new favourite genders (even after Rule of Rose defeated me)
Whats with this game being sectioned off into tiny missions? I played like 10 minutes and couldnt get into this at all. Being taken out of the game constantly seems like the opposite of what this kind of horror game is about: mental immersion in a world you dont understand. Does this stop after a while? Or are they only in the ps4 version? I want to get into this but i want to know if its worth pushing through the beginning....
In my eyes the true successor of Silent Hill. We like to pretend "cynical reproductions for profit" began after the 4th game but that was from the very beginning, with SH2.
