The game creates so many inconvenient tangents that it's hard to stay invested in it, the chapters you control other characters are the worst. I don't expect a brilliant narrative from an old point-and-click game, but damn, this wasn't even enjoyable bad.
Yeah the bug chapter and the aztec chapter are way inferior than the others, but it's still a really solid game with awesome plot, unique characters and atmosphere. The ending of the circus chapter was so so beautiful!
Well, you are not supposed to know for sure what is going on until the very end, and that's the charm of this game. It really keeps you wondering, but it gives you more and more hints as you advance.
