Some Russian fuckwit group of hackers have stolen gigabytes of game material and are threatening to leak more because the devs are boycotting Russia and cancelled the Russian localization. The studio is obviously Ukrainian and they were impacted directly by Russia's invasion, so to say GSC's actions were justified is putting it lightly.

  Fans of the series wouldn't do something like that honestly. They may actually be fans, but they're entitled for sure.
  
  Trust me I get it, and I sympathize for civilians in Russia who aren't a part of the conflict and don't support it. But this is necessary political pressure sadly, at least until Putin gets some sense or is ousted somehow. The devs were justified in doing this.
