Rogue Legacy

also as one of the reviewers here pointed out, it feels like a missed opportunity that the descendants have absolutely nothing to do with their ancestors, which is not what I was expecting for a game where the "legacy" is right in the title

this one has aged pretty poorly in the wake of a lot of the games that were inspired by it, still alright though

The game that ruined roguelikes by proving that all you need to sell a subpar action game is to ducktape a progression system on to it.

As someone who loves obsessively breaking every object in every room in Castlevania, this game is like crack to me.

First time playing this and did not find it dated at all. Played 10 hours nearly non-stop to beat it as I found the progression and fast-paced action super addictive.

I tried giving this a fair chance a while ago. But some of the platforming and the lack of health pick-ups just turned me the fuck off.
