not better than ds but still one of the best games of all time
yeah this game is sweet. Not sweeter than rhythm heaven ds, but still an easy 10/10, only bad thing about it is boring ass snoring ass remix 5 which fucking sucks. other than that this game is perfect and i wish i gatekept it while i still have the chance but whatever at least people are playing it.

Fun fact: This game costed me 5 dollars at the local family video right down the street. Was this the best 5 dollar purchase of my life up to this point? Yes, 100% yes. This game just oozes fun and charm, like all the other games in this series, but this one probably has the best games, best songs and best graphics. This game has probably given me more fun than any other game ive ever played. I really hope this series gets a Nintendo Switch release, as no rhythm game compares to any of the games in the series! And in my opinion, this is the best of the series. It is Rhythm Heaven at its peak.

No idea why this is so much higher rated than the previous two games in the franchise. If anything, this is a step back from those two. Whereas the previous two games made use of the dpad and touch screen to add spice to the stages, this one only has two inputs: A or A+B. You’d think they’d be able to do more with it since it’s on a home console instead of a handheld, but instead they did less. It still has that charm that makes the series so memorable, but after playing the previous two titles, this just feels like more of the same but even simpler and less engaging.
really really wish there was a restart button in the (in-game) menu. having to sit through the title card and beginning of the tutorial when all I wanna do is just quickly try again is so annoying
but besides that wow this game rocks!!! first rhythm heaven game that actually clicked with me. my first time getting a perfect was literally the same feeling as the first time i beat a souls boss
