Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

It saddens me to see so much hate for this title because it can be so much fun when you get into it. The range of characters and their special abilities to use in your fight for survival in Raccoon City is a blast. I loved the co-op play and usually found good players to join me. (There were the occasional toxic ones who would just shoot you over and over but mostly, players were good.)
After playing the game for a while and unlocking extra weapons and skill trees, there is a lot of replayability value as you unlock each character's specs. I could understand more if people complained that 'someone else on my team was already using my main/ favourite/ upgraded character, so I had to use one that I haven't upgraded', but they don't. I personally enjoyed it because it forced me to upgrade more of the characters and explore their unique skills as well.
I do understand that this game is developed by a different company to the main RE games and has a very different tone, but I love how you can work for or against Umbrella and see 'both sides' of the story (so to speak).
I found the story fun, the enemies challenging at times and the atmosphere was also great.
My main criticism is that some of the bosses are particularly difficult/ bullet sponges. This becomes a problem if you have to go it alone. The boss knows where you are and only allows you to hit it sporadically. At least with a partner, one can be the decoy while the other brings the firepower!
I found the general gameplay to be smooth and fast-paced (on my PS3).
If you're happy to separate this game from the general RE games and dip your toes in the RE universe without the survival horror genre, this game is one that I want to come back to...

feels more like call of duty than any RE game. it's not even developed by capcom so it feels like a really bad chinese knockoff fanfiction game. everything is really floaty and shitty feeling and REALLY glitchy. super short and stupid. only worth playing coop to laugh at how bad the game is the entire time. if this didn't have coop it would be insufferable. atleast its more enjoyable than resident evil 6 because its easy to play through without it constantly taking control away / having 1000000 cutscenes.

The game functions and the shooting isn't terrible, with a few decent setpieces in Raccoon City, but the co-operative elements leave a lot to be desired, and the game just exists way past the point Resi should even be a cash cow, with a laughable premise and ending being the only interesting facets. It is, otherwise, equal parts frustrating and boring.
