Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares

This is a decent little DLC chapter. It takes place in a replica of the original Spencer Mansion, and has a more "spooky" atmosphere than the main Resident Evil 5 [バイオハザード5], but it is a little disappointing that the mansion's layout is heavily truncated. The Easter eggs within are still nice, carrying RE5's theme of trying to conclude the major story of the previous several games. The primary enemies you face here are "Blobs," which resemble something like a less-perfect Lisa Trevor, with maybe more an overt G-virus infection. There are kinda zombies, but they're limited to quick, cheap jumpscares that are fought off with a partner action (spamming Circle to make Jill kick them). I was able to shoot a laying zombo, who passed out and died from one hit before having the chance to ever latch onto Chris, so either the devs just got lazy with their zombies, or we can say these T-virus victims are of such an advanced state of deterioration that they pose a far lesser threat than during Chris and Jill's first encounter with Umbrella's shenanigans.

The game ends with the same cutscenes seen in the main game's flashback, so there isn't really anything new here for fans hungry for additional lore, beyond some earlier files wanking over Alex a little more. And the Wesker boss fight practically ruins the horror tone of the whole thing before that setpiece....
