Quell Memento

The concept is the same as in Quell, you move a big ball (a "water droplet") around a field and collect little pills with as few moves as possible. This time there are some other goals too to be fulfilled, even if it still comes down to getting the ball in a specific place on the field.

A stronger entry to the series than the original Quell, gameplay remains reasonably simple and intuitive but an added bag of tricks brings good variety to the game so that it plays better also as a puzzle game on PC, not just casual thing on a phone. Keeping track on moves is still good so there's a difference between solving a field and solving a field with smallest number of moves, and hunting for gems and hidden levels requires "solving" the field also in alternative ways.

I have got a bit better at it or they have brought the difficulty down a bit for it was quite easy to pick up gems, hidden levels and perfect moves for large part of the game, and while it does throw occasional curveballs, it never gets diabolically hard. The game remains casual and charming as it is; for more dedicated puzzle gamers this still remains an entertaining, well-executed pastime.
I also wonder if the flavour texts and other "story" content, wiping old pictures and such, actually forms some kind of story. As it is, it still gives the game a pleasant mood without being interfering.
