Title
This feels like more of the same from the main game, as such I so recommend it if you're looking for more quake ii gameplay but would caution you against it if you’re looking for innovation.

Not only a hundred times better than the other mission pack, but much better than the base game too. Very pleasantly surprised by this one.

I agree. It feels equally as ambitious in its looping level design and storytelling as Quake 2, but manages to accomplish a bit more than id could. What this results in, I think, is a stronger feeling of place, an intricacy of space that was at times fun to run rat-like through, but of course a slightly greater agony when, like Quake 2, a level or objective sequence starts to feel tedious.

I found The Reckoning to be kind of boring, but I have to disagree with this being much better. I genuinely thought this was fucking horrible lmao. Annoying as fuck level design.

Playing through this now and I am just getting exhausted by room after room of the dudes who shoot railguns at you, the resurrecting enemies, the rocket launchers on the walls and the grenade-throwing guys. I just find this annoying compared to the base game and previous mission pack.
