Title
This game did not age well. The scenery is unimpressive, the practical effects are over-dramatic, the concept of the game is the only thing going for it. Overall I feel almost sick playing this game.

Title
Has just enough ingenuity to be more than dumb fun. The military's escalation of hardware against both Mercer and Greene is integrated extremely well into the gameplay, with both the difficulty and the power curve increasing as the game goes along, requiring you to be more discrete, inventive and intelligent. No small feat for a game about an overpowered anti-hero. Everything with regards to pace is tweaked just right, high praise for an open-world game, but it's still saddled with a lot of systematic moments, and a story with a great climax at the halfway point but without much to say afterwards.

    I vaguely remember in 2009 this got viral marketed on 4chan, like suits creating constant threads about it. I remember there being topics made about it and then later topics made about how it was obviously being marketed like that. Then it flopped and I never heard about it again.

    i remember the ragdoll physics of the civilians when you slice them up was so fun, but like most free-roaming games from around this time, they haven't aged particularly well since almost everything in terms of graphics, physics, and gameplay has been expanded upon - leaving little to nothing in terms of interest.
