I'm going to reserve my commentary for later, but for now I would like to share that I had been doing a no kill playthrough, and in general being as "following traffic laws in GTA" as I could, and it was like one of the best experiences I've had with video games as of late. Like it brought me so much peace of mind and in general I just found it really fun. However, I had done this half because I wanted to, and half because I knew I would get some kind of achievement for it.
I found out that, because I selected "A week in paradise" as my gamemode choice, I would not get any sort of achievement, despite my suffering in optimism of "Well at least I'll get that achievement". It's only if it's monday through friday. I made it all the way to some half way point in sunday, having only killed what was required in the missions, not assaulting or insulting anyone, fleeing at every opportunity, trying over and over to get past crowds of enemies pelting me with gunfire and moltovs. It was only then I found out that it wouldn't be getting the achievement. My point is that I will now be playing the game to it's fullest extent and accepting every freedom that the game has to offer.
