Nah, save your time for something else like listening to your favorite bands
In case you played this in 2022 and abandon because it was poorly balanced af. Lemme sum up the 2023 Unite for you after grinding to Master 1400, it's much more worse than last year except the new map. Better save your time for something else, the devs don't even play the game, all they do is thinking of a way to make excuses for their "apology" letters. The social media teams keep spreading the lies baiting you into thinking they're generous while their events are a bunch of lies made by manipulating words.

I haven't talked about other things like matchmaking, ranking systems, in-game transactions, bugs, parties on the highest rank, ... because talking about trying to enjoy the game alone is enough to ruin your peaceful Sunday.

At first I was excited for this game, but I've been playing for over a week and it looks like the only way to win a match and climb up the ranks is to upgrade your held items, which can only be done so many times with the credits you get for free from the game.
To actually stand a chance against overpowered opponents, you have to buy more of those credits (whatever they're called).

      I mean in the very first sentence of my comment, I made it clear that I would be listing out my first impressions, of course it's going to be lengthy because there's a lot to talk about. And the game "sucking" has nothing to do with it either, I was equal parts positive and negative. I guess people just shouldn't write long reviews though smh

    its an okayish attempt at simplifying a very complex genre for mobile. Its pay to win at the higher ranks for sure.

    Really fun game, and it's free. You don't need to pay nothing to enjoy, just play casual or quick mode. Competitive is not necessarily the point.

    Update: The game is in a better state now, they actually care about the imbalanced pokemon. Things happened in the past made them release underwhelming pokemons.
