Patrick's Parabox

Aqui tenho que fazer uma exceção e catalogar um jogo que eu não terminei. Patrick’s Parabox é extremamente criativo com suas mecânicas simples de quebra-cabeça. Dos jogos de puzzle mais interessantes que eu já joguei e das coisas mais nerds que eu já experimentei.

Terminei mais ou menos uns 60% do jogo, e a partir daí os quebra-cabeças já estavam em um grau de dificuldade que fritavam meu cérebro. Depois de 30 minutos na mesma tela e me conter à tentação de buscar o resultado na internet, minha cabeça tava no limite e eu decidi que era hora de me dar por vencido. É isso, esse jogo me venceu. Vai ver por isso é tão bom

it's really hard to make a complex puzzle game that can explain itself with this much ease, and part of that can be attributed to the simple graphics. while in most other games it would be considered as a limitation, here the minimalistic approach towards graphics makes it so that you don't have to have an aneurysm to understand something every time a new concept is introduced.

the OST is also really good, being mostly just some easy listening techno that gives ambientation without distracting too much.

the level design is very well done, with new ideas being introduced really slowly. even the optional puzzles avoid falling into bruteforcing the solution (something that BABA IS YOU did frequently). everything can be achieved if you stop and think for no more than 5~10 minutes.

there's no story, but that isn't much of a problem. it's still one of the best puzzle games published in the last years.
