Title
A conversion kit for the original Pac-Man (or Ms.) rather than a new cabinet, Pac-Man Plus takes the original Pac-Man and changes the maze colors, changes the bonus items (which now include a Coca-Cola can and pancakes, among others), changes the rules a bit (eating a power pellet doesn't always make every ghost safely edible), and makes the ghosts faster and smarter.

I cynically assume this conversion kit was mostly a response to people figuring out the patterns in Pac-Man, and thus spending lots of game time on one quarter and costing arcade operators money. Power pellets occasionally not turning every ghost blue is incredibly cruel, and guarantees no one can come up with a proven formula to succeed at the game. It's nice that the game is faster and the enemies tougher, but the randomness kills the game.
