Okay with friends, but very few lasting power. Also, the constant server problems made my friends move on to other games. I highly doubt it will be alive one year from now, unfortunately.
Against all other opinions, I'm currently playing Outriders and find this game incredible. Visually stunning (backgrounds and fighting animation), fun to play, and mostly an incredible story which made me want to progress more into the game. I'm not playing co-op, i'd rather immerse myself in the atmosphere created by the game.
spent the past week playing through this, mostly solo to experience the campaign appropriately. Almost gave it a 3.5 but there’s a few bugs, enemies are repetitive reskins of each other, hit boxes can be finicky, some weird plot points, etc. gameplay is like The Division set in a Destiny world. environments are pretty great, grind is satisfying, world tiers are a plus, etc. There is some immersion breakage due to you being able to drive between maps even when the main quest seems so dire in dialogue. The main character is also very dry voice wise, like a generic self centered protagonist but yet he ends up doing nice stuff for people and consoling people…in said asshole voice. Overall, a slightly above average game, good enough for me to want to see the game through until the end…where i think they have a decent end game that i won’t be partaking in.
