This game is marketed as cyberpunk horror and a mystery game, but in reality it is more of a walking simulator above anything else. This is not meant as a hack at it, as it is a pretty competent walking simulator with a novel story to tell, but it cannot be stressed how little actual gameplay it has. The only detective things you do is scan crime scenes and talk to civilians, but there isnt anything that requires thinking in these tasks. Its an extremely linear game from beginning to the very end, only allowing you to chose between two endings.
Now, as problematic as the gameplay is, i cannot deny the passion that this teams showed in the creation of this universe. There are a lot of Blade Runner influences in here, but its taken up a notch. Its bleak, grim and disgusting at times. And throughout its 8 hour duration, the visuals never really stop impressing. THe game also has some noticeable voice actors, whose slow pace will undoubtedly be divisible, but i enjoyed their performance.
Then the horror sections are a bit lacking. Besides weird visual effects, forced hide and seek sections and annoying but rare jumpscares, there isnt much to hold on to. The horror is definitly more of an underlying theme, and anyone playing this hoping to get a horror experience will be disappointed. Play it to get a good cyberpunk walking simulator with an interesting story, nothing more.

Pretty wild ride. The devs were clearly smoking something good when they were making this. This would probably be a great (or terrible, depending on your tolerance level) VR game.
The System Redux version is stunning, the atmosphere and visual design is absolute top tier. There are references to Bioshock, Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Alien, 2001, Resident Evil 3, P.T... Highly recommended.
