Title
Nuclear Throne is a twin stick rouge-like shooter.

Guns feel powerful, progression is fast, and variance in mechanics are meaningful. The game is simply fun and I recommend it leagues above the other twin stick rouge-like shooter I know of: Enter the Gungeon. So play this one instead.

Feels just like the arcades
I don't know what makes this game so addicting. Maybe it's because the variety of characters, or perhaps it might be the satisfying weapons and guns. When you're in the late stages, it's just pure carnage. If this was in an arcade, it would get a lot of money for sure. Personally my favourite character is Robot as you can eat guns in exchange for ammo and some health, which is useful because i'm not very good at this game.

The large amount of mods on itch io give you so much more to do after you've completed endgame for your first character. Sitting on the nuclear throne is not the end. You can loop to extend your run and fight an enhanced version of the nuclear throne if you wish. You may also want to watch out for the Interdimensional police force, which may interfere or end with your run.

Every character feels like you're playing something new forcing you to relearn and think how you play. This is especially true for Melting, who is a glass cannon style character.

Overall, 8/10. Good game.

Okay, I don't want to be the person to use the adjective "addicting" lightly, but this game is the most addictive drug out there. This game is going to seem tough to any new player, it is, but don't let that intimidate you. There have been far too many instances when I died and was so disappointed or angry that I quit the game... only to launch it up a minute later to try again. This game is tough, but not unfair, and extremely fun (and rewarding) once you start to get into it. The high octane action and replayability makes it one wild ride to play. If you have a random $15 bucks lying around your house somewhere, this game is where to spend it.

Its fast run and gun dungeoneering but somewhat shallow abilities make this game in an odd spot. Its not nearly as random and entertaining when compared to Binding of Isaac, and the gameplay is not as hectic or intense as Enter the Gungeon. Its still a fine game on its own,

It still remains one of the few games of its type that i have effectively beaten, so there's that.
