considering the bleak setting, this is way funnier than i was expecting. I dont think I ever laughed out loud playing a point and click adventure before

Need more games like this and KRZ. Besides the weird “combat system” I’m having a blast. Writing is great too.

Ending felt a lil abrupt and the combat sections are a bit of a time waste imho, but everything else was spot on. One of the years best no doubt

some lagging portions and irritating dialogue but this REALLY comes through at the end

I felt the opposite, the last 10 minutes or so were really disappointing. I somehow had the impression (probably due to the dense atmosphere and general weirdness) that there would be a bigger underlying motif under it all, like in a Lynch movie, but it turned out to be... just a story. Admittedly, maybe it is my fault for having such expectations but that's how I felt. Furthermore, in addition to the bad combat (which many pointed out), the puzzles were also trivial... More specifically: the puzzles themselves were fine, but then the game explained every single detail of how to solve them, basically solving every puzzle for you (which is boring). This is not just a problem with the puzzles, also in the plot the Million twist was made too obvious too early (the encounter with the girl in the shop makes it obvious that Million cannot be trusted.)

Still, the atmosphere was top notch. With a few tweaks in the puzzles and a bit more thought behind the story this would have been a small masterpiece for me. But even as it is I still very much recommend it.

very moving in how it tackles its themes of coming of age, family relationships and just plain human nature exploration. apart from all the crazy conspiracy theory stuff, this is what resonated with me the most. the absolute perfect art and sound design is the cherry on top wrapping this great game in a stunning package of gothic and surreal atmospheric goodness.

oh and the writting is amazing. it's no disco elysium (does it need to be, honestly?), but it's still a delight to read. for what it's trying to achieve, it succeeds immensely.

also for them to pull off two different convoluted jokes involving... basically shitting and them both be hilarious is commendable. you gotta have a clean ass to fight crime, everybody knows that.
