This time on Nancy Drew, a nice vacation in a Wisconsin castle (brought over from France) is interrupted by strange acts of vandalism and theft. Could this be related to the late chocolate milk tycoon who owned the castle? Did Marie Antoinette visit the castle before the revolution? But first we have to help someone with their dinner choices. Treasure fully cements the series into the semi-serious genius amateur sleuth that some would say plague most of the mystery and whodunnit world. But I'll still take Treasure's stupid puzzles over random explosions and having to shoot someone thank you very much. Not really stupid in the sense of obtuseness, most of them are pretty good about it, but stupid in the sense of being such banal time wasters that I'd probably be better off reading the book this was based off than actually continuing the game. It's probably a better mystery too. Once again, it's quickly not a question of whodunnit, but when the game is going to reveal what you already know. It's a pretty large castle, so there's a lot of time to carefully consider the evidence and come to the conclusion that the antagonist of the game is really incompetent at the whole blending in deal. And walking through the castle a lot is once again a key component in the game. Twenty minutes to find out how many chairs are on the first floor so you can go recharge a camera battery so you can write in the notebook you've kept by your side for 3 games now with a piece of the actual puzzle. Ultimately, I do like it, but yeah, it's got some problems.
