This game is a lot like Magical Drop. In fact, the developers were actually sued by Data East if I'm not mistaken. Unauthorized rip-off though it may be, this is one my favorite games of all time and I believe it is a tremendous improvement over Magical Drop. This is mainly because of two things: much more fluid control, allowing you to move left and right even as coins are being collected and dropped, and the ability to manually spawn new rows of coins in the midst of an ongoing combo, giving unlimited combo potential, which makes the single player mode much more fun. The way the coins condense into higher value coins (rather than simply disappearing) also lends itself to setting up elaborate combos. So while Magical Drop is pretty much strictly a versus game (with some seriously janky controls), Money Puzzle/Idol Exchanger works as an excellent single player action puzzle that still has a versus option as well.
We could potentially get into which is better in a highly competitive setting (ostensibly Magical Drop), but I would argue that both games fail pretty hard in that department anyway, since the patterns in both can be memorized completely.
