I like a lot of the overhaul except for not really having full control over team hop skill. Loading times are obnoxious Ubisoft-end matters, and it's too easy compared to the first game. They should have made upgradable weapons rather than just skins and balanced the game better. Otherwise it's an addictive game with great gameplay loop. Much better than a game with this aesthetic and weird Minion ripoff characters has any right to be
this game improves on some aspects of the first one and then regresses in other areas. This one ranks slightly lower because, again, it's just way too easy and overwhelms you with resources you don't really need even on hard mode.
Everything I’ve read from reviews is that this is way better than the first one, but I swear every comment on here or any forum or Facebook has been extremely negative. So it’s interesting seeing this have a lower rating than the first on here as well.
alrighty around world 4 it actually starts to get harder and then by world 5 there's some good stuff. The optional super-bosses are pretty good, too. The later stuff is still easy, but only if you plan and prepare for the fights really well so it can be argued that isn't "easy"-- you've simply come to understand the game really well and have become better at strategizing. Main criticism of the game is traversing the overworld is just kind of annoying and there's too much of these boring 'challenges' and issues navigating when I just want to be in the battles. The first game's overworld content wasn't as intrusive.
