One of the worst sequels I've ever seen for a video game, the first Manhunt had purpose in its nuanced way of contextualizing violence and taking a jab at the media and the customer base with its obviously offensive levels of gore, but at least there was some kind of message and purpose to it, a message of some sort to prove the status Rockstar made for themselves with the Grand Theft Auto series, Manhunt 2 completely misses the mark and makes itself out to be a glorification of murder and violence, with a thin narrative, shallow one note-characters, one of the most obvious twists in the world, and an offensively poor attempt at trying to make you empathize with a down to earth killer. None of that would have been a problem and could be overlooked if at least the gameplay was good, right? Well, even in that regard the game both fails and succeeds in some parts. It fails at being a challenging game, I died very few times during my laughably short 3 and a half hour playthrough (Manhunt 1 took much more than that), because the combat was ridiculously buffed and you could win fights with 2 enemies at a time if you're good at micromanagement. Gunplay returns like in manhunt 1 but this time the guns are given some severely needed boosts, they feel for the most part satisfying and you can actually hit enemies way farther than you could ever do in Manhunt 1. But they also made gunplay easy because this game was designed for console players in mind, meaning that as soon as the crosshair manages to reach within any range of an enemies head it will lock on to it resulting in an easy headshot. This was not removed in the PC version which is results in a comedically easy game since you have the advantage of mouse aiming (although at the cost of some annoying forced mouse acceleration (seriously why do devs use this in console to PC ports?)). The AI still suffers from the same issues in manhunt 1, however here it only gets worse, with some enemies just not responding to me standing in front of them at all allowing me to complete easy executions for a higher score. Speaking of executions, there are a whole load of them, and lots of new animations from returning weapons like the plastic bag, glass shard etc. There was a lot of effort made to make new, extremely violent ways to kill people, with the addition of environmental kills to spice things up even more. However that doesn't sell me recommending this game to anyone looking for a short afternoon game to beat on their day off, there's no satisfaction to be found with this game at all. 4/10

Sadly, this amazing game was banned all over due to realistic violence, so Rockstar just gave up on it. It's a required download, a really cerebral and vicious survival horror with an above average gameplay for it's type.

The executions, atmosphere, and level designs are on par with Manhunt 1, but unfortunately the gameplay feels too loose, especially the shooting mechanics, plus the enemy dialogue is weak and the music is lackluster
Haven't finished this yet but so far I actually really like this, admittedly I think the character writing is kind of not good but the actual gameplay is so much more fun than it has any right to be
