I'm entering the Lost bandwagon like 10 years late, and, as a trash games enthusiast, I was almost speedwatching the series to finish the third season so I could finally play Via Domus. Was it worth it? Well, maybe. This game is not all things bad, but it is very mediocre.
The whole concept of the game is pretty decent, you're a survivor on the island and you do things while the events of the series happen, it's like you're playing as one of the (many) nameless survivors of the plane. You may imagine that everything is canon to the series and you'll (almost) feel fine with it. There are different gameplay aspects, there's some sort of stealth, there's exploration, there are puzzles to solve, there's a trading mechanic, and the list goes on. On paper it is such a good game, but the final product is extremely underdeveloped.
The models are weird as f*ck. The voice acting is terrible. The dialogues are way too cheesy. Some characters are pointless. The gameplay is too basic. The whole game is too short. It's really hard to point positive things about this hot garbage, but they do exist. The environments are, surprisely, well made and very true to the ones on the series, the dharma stations are perfect, if you ignore the characters you can pretty much feel like in the island. Also, there are some specific details, easter eggs and whole sections that are considered canon and do not appear in the series, like the room where 'the incident' happen, the shark section, they are not essential but they do kinda fill some plotholes of the series.
All in all, I do not regret playing this game, it is a major fanservice device and I can't see a nonfan enjoying anything here. If you want to see some of your favourite characters here and there while exploring the island, I don't think 5 hours-ish are getting completed wasted here, it's just sad to think that this could have been way better if the development wasn't so raw.

Lost is such a terrible game, everything about this game just feels like a cheap cash grab to capitalize on the success of the TV series. The character models all look ugly and the graphics are awful, the voice acting for most of these characters are bad and sound nothing like the actual characters, and the plot of this is so awful and is lazily tied in to the main show. You are basically a new survivor that interacts with the survivors of the plane crash from lost and you need to piece together your back story while surviving the island. Most of the game you are traveling between different parts of the island and talking to the survivors and going through the jungle trying run away from the smoke monster. There's not much to say, the gameplay is terrible and repetitive, the graphics and voice acting is bad, the puzzles are boring and excessive, and there is hardly any substance in the gameplay. It feels like a bunch of ideas were just crammed together and this game was rushed out. Sure Lost wasn't a great TV show and for me the show had a huge dip in quality after season 3 and the last 2 seasons of the show were almost unwatchable, but this game makes the final season of Lost look like a masterpiece and I just wish this game didn't exist. Its also incredibly short and can be beat in roughly 5 hours.
